Election Ordinance

With this tribal election our elected Pawnee Business Council members and Governing Documents Committee revised the Election Ordinance that enabled the Pawnee Nation to conduct it’s own election.

It was important for these bodies to allow the Pawnee Nation to exercise it’s right as a sovereign tribal nation.

With previous BIA conducted elections, tribal members were required to register in order to be able to vote.

In this election, you are not required to register.

All enrolled Pawnee tribal members 18 years of age and above on the day of the election are eligible to vote.

The Governing Documents Committee members consist of:
Duane Pratt, Marshall Gover, Elizabeth Blackowl, William Howell, Pat Leadingfox.

The Governing Documents Committee worked/consulted with the Pawnee Nation Attorney General-John Parris and ANA-SEDS staff– Amy Watters, Taurean Taylor, Olivia Gray.
