Recognized in the traditional sense as the “Chief’s Council,” the Nasharo Council consists of eight members representing the four bands of Pawnee: the Chaui (Grand), the Kitkehahki (Republican), the Pitahawirata (Tappage), and the Skidi (Wolf). Two chiefs are elected from each band to sit on the Nasharo Council.
