The main objective of the Pawnee Nation Indian Child Welfare program is to prevent the breakup of Indian families by providing appropriate and needed services. In addition, the following reunification/preventive services are offered; family counseling and parenting education; a Tribally approved foster care system which is in compliance with state and federal guidelines; referral services for assistance such as in home counseling services, respite care, daycare after school and/or recreational activities and employment; information, knowledge and education on tribal/ state child custody proceedings to individuals, families and other interested parties.
