The Tribe’s Gaming Ordinance assures that the Commission is solely responsible for the regulation of the Pawnee nation’s gaming. The Commission monitors the gaming qualifications and issues licenses for gaming operation employees and vendors, and takes appropriate enforcement action when necessary.
The business of managing the gaming operation is not he responsibility of the Commission, but is conducted through employees of the Pawnee Tribal Development Corporation. Regulatory compliance is the main focus of the Commission and duties are based on Ordinance provisions, the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, and regulations promulgated by the Nation Indian Gaming Commission and other federal agencies.
