We would like to send out our sincere thoughts and prayers to the families Kyle Dishman and Roberta Gardipe. May God bless them during their time of loss.

After a very busy day of voting, the results from the election are listed below. The election process now moves into the protest period which ends on Wednesday, May 6, at 5:00 pm. Any requests for recount must be filed with a $300 recount fee. If any protests or requests for recounts are filed they will be responded to no later than May 13, 2009.

March 9, 2009 - Post list of Candidates

March 9, 2009 - Election Commission begins Review of Eligibility of Candidates

March 9-13, 2009 - Challenge Period

Any Tribal member may challenge the eligibility of any candidate in writing.


March 16-19, 2009 - Election Commission review of challenges

March 27, 2009 - Deadline for Candidates to submit articles to Communications for publication in tribal newsletter.


TBD - Post list of Qualified Canidates

Every effort will made to post this list publicly throughout Tribal Reserve, website, local newspaper and newsletter.


April 10, 2009 - Deadline to receive requests for Absentee Ballots

Requests received after this date will not be honored. Absentee Ballot Request Forms are available to download on this site.


May 2, 2009 - Election Day

Polls open at 8:00 am
Polls close at 7:00 pm


May 3, 2009 Post Election Results

May 4-6, 2009 Protest Period

  • Any voter may protest in writing stating their reason for protest
  • A request for recount must be accompanied by a $300 recount fee

Protest period will end at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Protests received after 5:00 pm by any means will not be considered.


May 13, 2009 The Election Commission will respond to protests no later than May 13, 2009.

April 10, 2009 - Candidate bios have been uploaded to the website.
