Recruitment for vacant positions is administered by the Office of Human Resources of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma. Vacant positions are advertised through local media and on the tribal website. Applications and resumes are accepted in person, by mail and by fax. The Office of Human Resources is located in Building 64 at 881 Little Dee Dr. on the tribal reserve.

RECRUITMENT POLICY
It is the policy of the Pawnee Nation to promote hiring the best qualified candidates, in order to provide the highest quality services to the people of the Pawnee Nation. It is additionally the policy of the Pawnee Nation to promote employment opportunities for qualified Pawnee Tribal Members and other qualified Native Americans.

APPLICATION
All individuals applying for employment shall complete an official Pawnee Nation Employment Application form and sign a release of information form. The Employment Application form will solicit information from the applicant relating to education, experience, training, residence, and other pertinent information. Pawnee Nation Employment Application forms are available at the Pawnee Nation Office of Human Resources or may be downloaded from the official Pawnee Nation website. Application must be received by 5:00 p.m. of the closing date.

Position Overview Responsible for performing a variety of secretarial and administrative duties, such as providing customer service, maintaining and updating records, preparing documents for meetings, processing financial documents (requisitions, invoices for payment, etc), scheduling meetings, assisting in the development of reports, etc.

Educational Requirements  
Experience Requirements 18+ Years of Age; High School Diploma or GED; Experience using standard office equipment, including copiers and fax machines; Familiarity with computers and Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, & Internet Explorer; Ability to pass a background check.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities  
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Evening and/or weekend work is often required. Occasions may arise requiring work outdoors where exposure to natural weather conditions may occur. There is regular interaction with the public, other agencies, and employees. Tight time constraints and multiple demands from several and multiple demands from several people are common. Travel may be required for training, meetings, conferences, presentations, and other events.
